Takealot

The Takealot App integrates OrderEazi with Takealot to allow you to manage your Takealot Leadtime and Drop Ship orders from OrderEazi.

This app provides the following functionality:

  1. Sync your Takealot Leadtime and Drop Ship orders into OrderEazi projects.

This app will group multiple sales into a single project wherever possible to help reduce your shipping costs!

  2. Facilitate the creation of Shipments to fulfil your Takealot sales.

Setup Guide

Prerequisites

  1. You must have an account on the Takealot Sellers Portal. If you need help setting up your Takealot Sellers Portal account, please reach out to OrderEazi support, and we will gladly assist you.

  2. You must have Offers listed on Takealot in the Buyable status.

  3. You must have at least one Sales Channel set up for your OrderEazi Organization. A separate sales channel for lead time and drop ship orders should be used so that they can have a different project workflow if needed.

Setting up the app

  1. Install the Takealot app from the App Gallery.

  2. Open the Takealot app.

  3. Generate a Takealot API Key on the Takealot Sellers Portal.

    1. If you already have a Takealot API Key, continue with Step 4.

    2. Go to the Seller API page on the Sellers Portal and scroll down to the Authentication section.

    3. Select the Generate API key button. Make sure to store this API key somewhere safe, you will not be able to retrieve it from Takealot again and will have to generate a new one if you lose it!

  4. Enter your Takealot API Key in the OrderEazi Takealot app Configuration page.

  5. Enter your Takealot Seller ID in the OrderEazi Takealot app Configuration page.

    1. This can be found on the Account Overview page on the Sellers Portal.

  6. Select an OrderEazi client. This client will be used on each Project that is created by this app.

    1. It is advised to create a new OrderEazi client specifically for this Takealot app.

  7. Select an OrderEazi Pricelist to which this app can be accessed. Please note that this app will have no knowledge of any OrderEazi products which are not in this Price List.

  8. Select a Sales Channel for Takealot Drop Ship orders, and for Takealot Leadtime orders.

    1. A separate sales channel for lead time and drop ship orders should be used so that they can have a different project workflow if needed.

  9. Setup the Takealot Webhooks

    1. Copy the Webhook URL from the Takealot app Configuration page and navigate to the Webhooks page on the Sellers Portal.

    2. Select the Create Webhook button.

    3. Enter the URL that you copied into the URL field.

    4. Select ALL events in the Event(s) dropdown field. You don't need to select (Deprecated) events.

    5. Leave the Verify Certificate toggle on.

    6. Select the Create button.

    7. Copy the Secret and enter it in the Takealot app Configuration page.

    8. Activate the Webhook by selecting the Active toggle.

  10. Select a maximum number of project lines for Projects created by this app. This is useful for limiting the size of projects created by this app.

  11. Save the Configuration by selecting the Save button on the Takealot app Configuration page.

As soon as you save the Configuration with a valid Takealot API Key, the app will begin to sync your Takealot data.

The initial data sync can take up to an hour, depending on the number of offers and sales you have on Takealot.

While the initial data sync is running, you will see a notification on the Configuration page telling you to check back soon.

Please note that the page does not auto-refresh the status of the sync - you will need to refresh the page to verify if the sync has been completed.

SKU Mapping Issues

After importing your data from Takealot - any SKU's found from the Takealot data that do not exist on your OrderEazi instance will be added to the SKU Mapper table.

Any sales of the items listed in the SKU Mapper table will be IGNORED by the Takealot app because there is no matching product on your OrderEazi instance.

To ensure that you can see all of your Takealot sales in the OrderEazi Takealot app, make sure to assign all of these Takealot offers to the relevant OrderEazi product.

Assigning a SKU

  1. Go to the SKU Mapper page on the Takealot app.

  2. Select the dropdown on one of the entries in the table and select the Assign SKU button.

  3. Use the search field to search for the matching OrderEazi product. The search will match against the following fields on the OrderEazi product (Code, Description, Supplier Product Code, or Supplier Name).

  4. Select the OrderEazi product that matches the Takealot product.

Once a Takealot Offer has been assigned to an OrderEazi product, you will see the correct OrderEazi product on the Projects created by this app for this offer.

Managing your Takealot Shipments

Once your initial data sync has been completed, you will begin seeing new Takealot orders coming through to your OrderEazi workspace.

Navigate to the Manage Shipments page on this app. Here you will find three tabs:

Pending Shipments

On this tab you can see all of your Leadtime and Drop Ship orders already grouped into shipments for you. These shipments have not yet been created on Takealot. Select the dropdown on one of the rows in the Pending Shipments table and select the Create Draft Shipment button.

Follow the instructions under the Next Steps section to create the shipment on the Takealot Sellers Portal.

Shipments in Progress

You will not see shipments here that were created on the Takealot Sellers Portal before the Takealot App was configured! Make sure to finalise those shipments on the Sellers Portal.

On this tab, you can see all of the shipments that have been created on Takealot but have not yet been shipped.

Use this tab to facilitate the process of moving a shipment through the necessary steps until it is shipped. Select the dropdown on one of the rows in the Shipments In Progress table and select the View Shipment button.

Follow the instructions under the Next Steps section until this shipment has moved into the Completed Shipments section.

Completed Shipments

This tab shows all the shipments that have been made. This app doesn't currently handle the returns process; you will need to handle returns yourself on the Sellers Portal.
