Cost Price Tracking
Introduction
Cost Price Track report allows you to compare the history of products prices from different suppliers. This information is represented on a line graph and much like our other reports you can export the data to a excel file, the graph image included inside.
The cost price graph depicts cost vs time, cost being the y axis and time the x axis. The time is denoted by dates which show the change in prices for products as time moved on. We can see a products supply and demand across multiple suppliers.
How to use Cost Price Tracking
Report Date Ranges
The first and most important control is the date range start and end filter. Select a starting date and a end date. This allows you to filter pricing history from a start date to a end date. This is the range of product price history we want to see.
Product Ranges
Type in the check box to search for a range of products. You should see a list of base products appear bellow for you to select from. You can select multiple.
This will fetch historical price data for all products that share the base codes you have selected.
Products
Type in the check box to search for a specific product. Select a product from the list that appears bellow, you can select multiple products.
You can use this if you want to view pricing from specific products as well.
Product Suppliers
Here you can select suppliers to filter on. If you choose suppliers to filter the product prices you will only see results from the selected suppliers.
Hit Generate Report
Lastly you will need to press the big green button above all the filters in order to generate the report. The export button is found on the top right corner of the report once it generates.
The Graph
You can interact with the graph to adjust the data. Click on a label and the graph will omit that products line while re-adjusting the x y ranges. Click on the label again if you want to see the product back on the graph.
If you would like to see information for a particular product at a specific time you can hover over a point on the line. A box will appear with the exact values for that point.
Notes and Tips
In order for the search to kick off when finding Products or Product Ranges at least 3 characters are needed.
