Global Search

🔍 Global Search

The Global Search feature is always available in the top navigation bar and provides a fast way to locate specific projects or documents from anywhere in OrderEazi. It’s designed to help you quickly find what you need, even if you only remember part of the reference.

Use the Ctrl + Enter shortcut to quickly enter the global search.

⚙️ How it works

You can search using a wide range of project-related details. OrderEazi will search across multiple fields and return the most relevant results. These include:

Match Type

Description

Project Number

The unique number assigned to a project. Often the most direct search.

Customer Order Number

The customer’s original order number, e.g. from a storefront or external source.

Customer Order Reference

A free-text reference linked to the project.

Waybill Number

Courier tracking number once a shipment has been created.

Document ERP Number

The number assigned to a document by the connected accounting system.

OrderEazi Document Number

The internal document number (e.g., INV000001).

đź“‹ Smart, fuzzy matching

The Global Search is designed to be forgiving. It uses fuzzy matching, which means:

  • Partial references will still return useful results. For example, typing 265 might find PRO001265, PRO000265, or INV000265.

  • You don’t need to enter leading zeros or type the full code.

  • It's even resilient to small typos or variations in formatting.

This makes it especially helpful when you’re working from memory or transcribing values from customer emails or printed documents.

🗏️ Result types

Search results are displayed based on what field was matched:

  • Project Number match → Click the result to open the project.

  • Document or ERP Number match → Click the result to open the project, or click the View Document button to go straight to the document.

  • Other fields (e.g. Waybill, Reference) → Clickable project link with highlighted text showing the exact match.

âś… Tips for better results

  • Start with the most specific reference you have.

  • If you don’t find what you're looking for, try another type of reference.

  • Don’t worry too much about formatting — Global Search is built to help you even when things aren't exact.
